Star Community Hub

The school is currently open for children of critical workers and vulnerable pupils only. We are working with Birmingham City Council to support the creation of Community Hubs to provide ongoing care for the children of critical workers and vulnerable pupils during the coronavirus pandemic.

From Monday 30 March, our provision for children of critical workers and vulnerable pupils will continue at our sister school, The Olive School, Small Heath, where we are opening the Star Community Hub – Small Heath.

The Star Community Hub at The Olive School, which is also part of the Star Academies family, is around 1.5 miles from our school. The school’s address is Waverley Rd, Birmingham B10 0EG.

If you are a critical worker or the parent or carer of a vulnerable pupil and you require a place at the Star Community Hub, please email keyworkers@olivebham.staracademies.org by Friday 27 March to confirm your place.

Many parents working in critical sectors may be able to ensure their child is kept at home. Every child who can be safely cared for at home should be. There is no requirement for parents and carers working in critical jobs to send their children to school if they do not need or wish to do so.
